The DuPont Challenge Science Writing Competiton is Discontinued

by , posted on 2:14 PM, September 14, 2016
Effective immediately, The DuPont Challenge Science
Writing Competition is discontinued.
For the last 30 years, DuPont has been the proud sponsor of the nation's premier science writing competition validated by the participation of more than 250,000 students across the United States and Canada. The DuPont Challenge was created to honor the crew of the Challenger Space Shuttle and all who endeavor to "Touch The Future" by pursuing science excellence.
DuPont is also very grateful for the support that thousands of science teachers have given The DuPont Challenge over the years. In fact, the success of The DuPont Challenge has been due in large part to the commitment of the entire science education community. We give special thanks to our partners at the National Science Teachers Association, Encyclopedia Britannica, Turnitin.com, and A+ Media. The prizes and awards for the 2015-2016 competition will be fulfilled and our winning teachers will be recognized at the 2017 NSTA conference in Los Angeles.
DuPont will leverage its investments in students and teachers through other science competitions and increase our partnerships with international science education organizations.
As we sunset this program, we remember the sacrifice of the Challenger crew and their families in the "Forever Remembered" pamphlet.
