The National Association of Geoscience Teachers (NAGT) is pleased to announce that the 2017 Outstanding Earth Science Teacher (OEST) Minnesota State Winner is Denine Voegeli, science teacher at Plainview-Elgin-Millville Junior High School. The annual award is for "exceptional contributions to the stimulation of interest in the Earth Sciences at the pre-college level."
The Central Section Committee of the National Association of Geoscience Teachers was particularly impressed with Ms.Voegeli’s ability to implement creative, hands-on and effective learning strategies in the classroom, her ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students, and her passion for earth science teaching.
