We invite you to a special event hosted by MnSTA to:
- Engage in engineering across three grade level bands
- Meet our Minnesota State Science Specialists
- Enjoy time and conversation with other science teachers in your region
- Enjoy a light meal
Date and Time: Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 5-7:30 pm with dinner from 5:45 to 6:30 pm

Learn about MnSTA: Come learn about the Minnesota Science Teacher Association and our role in supporting all teachers of science across Minnesota.
State Science Specialists: Come and meet our state science specialists, John Olson and Doug Paulsen. They will share their roles with the MN Department of Education (MDE) and provide an overview of A Framework for K-12 Science Education.
Engineering through science: We will spend one hour in grade level break out sessions that focus on the nature of engineering with science across three grade level bands (elementary, middle and high school). John Olson, Doug Paulsen and Michele Koomen, (MnSTA Higher Education Representative) will lead the break our sessions. You will leave with classroom ready activities and resources.
Network with science teachers in your area. Learn about the resources that are available from MnSTA and connect with local science teachers.
Food: Light supper and refreshments will be provided
