*WORKSHOP DETAILS: All workshops are 9 am – 3:30 pm. There is no cost to attend. Substitute teacher costs will be reimbursed and lunch and refreshments will be provided. We will explore and learn about arts integration as a strategy for increasing student learning, whether you are new to the concept or have been integrating with other content areas for years. Participants will engage in a hands-on arts experience, generate ideas for the classroom, reflect on examples of arts integration, and learn about a professional development opportunity for teachers interested in arts integration. The workshops are open to secondary level teachers in the arts and in all other subject areas (we highly encourage teams from the same school to attend!)
An oline application for the program will be available this November, and there will be information at the workshops about how school teacher teams can apply. Applications will be open December 1, 2013 - January 30, 2014.
These initiatives are funded by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage (Legacy) Fund.
