Radar entomology. The Radar Entomology Web Site offers a guide to tracking migrating and foraging insects with high precision. It was developed by biometeroloogist Alistair Drake of Australia's University of New South Wales. It has a lot but for most of us the immediate attraction is the radar photfile which profiles insect radar images of honeybee drones congregating near a Texas hive and aphids surfing a surging sea breeze in Finland.

Detecting Seasonal Vegetation Changes Using AVHRR NDVI: Satellite imagery shows how the changes in vegetation growth over a year of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. You can also see lakes, cities, aquifers, and other data.

Metro Area Watershed: Data and satellite imagery of the Metro Area. Use to see dam locations, mining operations, watersheds, and much more. You are able to query information about specific features.

Root River Watershed: Data and satellite imagery of the Root River Watershed in Southeastern Minnesota. Use to see dam locations, mining operations, watersheds, and much more. You are able to query information about specific features.

Landsat Thematic Mapper Availability: The user is able to click on a scene to get information about the latest Landsat 5 and 7 revisit dates and cloud cover. This tool will allow the user to qualitatively assess cloud cover over a particular Landsat scene, on a given revisit date, through Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) imagery. The user may then use this information to order Landsat imagery through TerraSIP or the EROS Data Center's EOS Data Gateway.

AVHRR Application (eGIS): This application is developed as a tool for analyzing and monitoring of natural resources at regional level using multi-temporal AVHRR imagery. Present research and development are funded by NASA under TerraSIP project.

ImageView enables interactive browsing of satellite images covering the Minnesota landscape where the user can manipulate the display characteristics of the imagery.

ForestView brings MN DNR Forestry's Cooperative Stand Assessment (CSA) GIS data and satellite imagery together in one interactive interface. Users can overlay forest inventory data from state-owned lands onto the satellite image of their choice.

ChangeView presents browsable "forest change" images, which are derived from two Landsat satellite images of the same area at different dates.

Browse every USGS 1:24,000, 1:100,000 and 1:250:000 quadrangle for Minnesota.
