HAVE A GREAT SUMMER WITH OUR GREAT RIVER TEACHER TRAINING: A National Park Service and Mississippi Park Connection Partnership Program

Minnesota and metro elementary educators – this free one-day river workshop is for you! Other interested teachers and educators are encouraged to register.

We want to get you out of the classroom and on the river this summer, rediscovering your local national park right here in the Twin Cities: the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area! The one-day workshop is designed as an inspiring introduction to the national park space, and to familiarize educators with pre-and-post lessons associated with our new education field trip programs happening within the park. We offer practical demonstrations in standards-aligned, student-centered and nature-based lessons. Clock Hour certificates are available through the National Park Service!
