Calculus for Mechanics and E&M in High School Physics and Astronomy Inquiry Methods & Activities for High School Science are two continuing education opportunities for Physics and Physical Science teachers to be offered at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls in June 2020.

Calculus for Mechanics and E&M in High School Physics

  • Dates: JUNE 15-19, 2020
  • Times: M-F (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

Course Description: Learn more about using calculus in high school physics classes with a focus on mechanics and electricity & magnetism.

Rate for Calculus Workshop:
  • Continuing Education - $ 490 

OR

  • Graduate Credits (PHYS 789, 2 cr.) - Rates are dependent on residency.

Astronomy Inquiry Methods & Activities for High School Science

  • Dates: JUNE 22-26, 2020
  • Times: M-F (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM) (plus some nighttime observing)

Course Description: Gain more content knowledge, active learning techniques, and applications related to the NGSS - along with nighttime observing!

Rate for Astronomy Workshop:
  • Continuing Education - $ 490 

OR

  • Graduate Credits (PHYS 789, 2 cr.) - Rates are dependent on residency.
