Both the Wayzata High School team and Wayzata Central Middle School team took first place in the 2020 Minnesota Science Bowls.

On January 25, 2020 at the Minnesota High School Science Bowl, the Wayzata Team 1 took first, with Minnetonka taking second, and Wayzata's other two teams taking third and forth. See the Minnesota Academy of Science's website for more information.
On February 8, 2020 at the Minnesota Junior High Science Bowl, the Wayzata Central Middle School team took first place, with Barton Open School taking second and Wayzata West Middle School taking third. See the Minnesota Academy of Science's website for more information.
