The Power of Minnesota is a digital storytelling project that shares the experiences of the people behind Minnesota’s clean energy economy. The stories are designed to spark curiosity and conversations about how Minnesota produces our electricity and the opportunities created by clean energy.

Some Minnesota schools are using a screening of the film for Earth Day.

The project can be viewed as an 18-minute documentary or broken down into individual stories. Some examples include a look inside the wind energy technician program at Minnesota West Community and Technical College and a profile of how schools across Minnesota like Pine River Backus Elementary are powering their classrooms with energy from the sun.

In addition to video content, the Power of Minnesota also includes a viewing guide with key terms, conversation starters, Minnesota clean energy facts and additional resources for educators.

The project is a collaboration between the McKnight Foundation, Seiche, and Minnesota's Clean Energy Resource Teams
