The Minnesota Institute for Astrophysics invites you to the first event in our virtual Astronomy event series, "Universe @ Home." Each event will consist of a short talk followed by an activity, such as a "virtual sky tour," where we will teach you to identify features of the night sky. This Sunday, we'll be presenting on YouTube Live about how humans first discovered each of the planets in our Solar System, plus a little about Pluto (just a dwarf planet, sorry!) and Vulcan, the planet that never really existed. Afterwards we will show you where to find the planets in the night sky for yourself. You are encouraged to bring any and all questions you have about the universe. This is a family-friendly event!
