From time immemorial the Mississippi River Wakpa Tanka (Great River) has been and remains important to the Dakota people, providing plants, animals, a route for transportation and trade, and sites of cultural and spiritual significance. We are honored through this event to celebrate our partnership with the Lower Phalen Creek Project and its Wakan Tipi Center. Maggie Lorenz, Director, and Dr. Kate Beane, Board Member, will join us to explore Dakota Place and Kinship with the Mississippi River in the first installment of CGEE’s Waters to the Sea® Stories webinars.

This free webinar will feature place-based video stories; a live presentation; connections to educational resources; and audience Q&A with Maggie, Kate and CGEE’s John Shepard. Register today to secure your spot, and stay tuned for further details.
