Water Guardians Program

Water Guardians takes students on a journey down the vital and vibrant Mississippi River from its headwaters to the Gulf of Mexico, teaching students about local and global water issues. This free web-based set of 5 lesson plans brings discussions of global citizenship, service, and the global water crisis into classrooms, whether virtual or in-person.

Water Guardians is a new and exciting educational program brought to you by H2O for Life. It teaches students about the global water crisis and how we can create change locally, together. The program culminates in a service-learning component that will help engage students to become global citizens.

Water Guardians is a free curriculum consisting of five lesson plans that will take your students on a journey from the start of the Mississippi River, down to the Gulf of Mexico, and off to other parts of the world. During this time you and your students will learn about the global water crisis and be inspired to make change in your own communities and beyond.
