Job Description / Duties
These roles will lead collaborative statewide initiatives to strengthen the capacity of Minnesota's schools so that they can provide high quality science or mathematics education. They will help districts to fully implement the standards through aligned instruction, curriculum, assessment, and professional development.
Developing and maintaining a statewide system of training and support that helps districts fully implement the Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards in Mathematics or Minnesota K-12 Academic Standards in Science through aligned instruction, curriculum, assessment, and professional development;
Helping coordinate the state's K-12 mathematics or science standards review and rulemaking processes so that the standards reflect best practices in mathematics or science education and are compliant with state and federal laws;
Providing guidance on standards, graduation requirements, and related state policies, especially those related to mathematics or science;
Gathering, analyzing and reporting data to inform policies and practices related to standards-based education, especially those related to mathematics or science.
