Participate in a community engagement cohort about water! We Are Water MN is a program that is a partnership between the Minnesota Humanities Center, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, Minnesota Historical Society, the Minnesota Departments of Agriculture, Health, Natural Resources and the University of Minnesota-Extension system.

We Are Water MN’s goals are to build people’s relationships with and responsibilities to water.

We’re seeking five communities to serve as hosts for the 2023 program, which runs from September 2022-December 2023. Host communities work to build networks of people who protect and affect water in their area, plan at least four public activities that accomplish the program goals and host a traveling exhibit that includes information and stories about water from their community.

The full program description and more details about host responsibilities can be found here. Applications are due July 22. Questions? Reach out to humanities officer Jennifer Tonko at the Minnesota Humanities Center: jennifer@mnhum.org or 651-772-4264.
