Join us for our first Waters to the Sea® Stories webinar of the season: Northern Nights, Starry Skies: an Ojibwe Perspective with Travis Novitsky and Carl Gawboy!

Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the wonders of the night sky and its role in Ojibwe culture and tradition. Night sky photographer, Travis Novitsky of the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, joins with Carl Gawboy, artist and storyteller of the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa, in a media-rich presentation about how the constellations and other heavenly phenomena enrich and illuminate Ojibwe culture. Both presenters are featured in CGEE’s upcoming Northern Nights, Starry Skies PBS documentary, a co-production with WDSE in Duluth. Public screenings of the documentary begin November 29 in Duluth with the broadcast premiere scheduled for December 1. CGEE’s associated learning resources will be presented by John Shepard.
