MRSEC Research Experiences for Teachers (RET)
Research Experience for Teachers (RET) is a program that allows teachers to actively participate in current research with one of our faculty’s research groups and design standards-based classroom activities from these experiences.
RET fellowship details:
- 6-Week Summer Program
- $6,000 Stipend
- Continuing Education Credits
- $600 supply fund (for use during the summer as well as for classroom supplies in support of your project)
- Travel grants available for participation in meetings or conferences
- Program dates: June 30 - August 8, 2025 (flexible)
- Application Deadline: March 7, 2025

RET Workshop: Modern Approaches to High School Chemistry Instruction through today’s Sustainability Challenges
The NSF Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) in partnership with the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) will be offering a PAID three-day workshop at the University of Minnesota for high school chemistry teachers on green chemistry and other sustainabilty focused topics.
