Think of all the things we need most for daily living: food, clothing, shelter, water.
Have you ever considered how each of them, in turn, depends on soil—that without soil, in fact, there would be no life? Know Soil, Know Life is a soil science textbook and educator’s guide curriculum targeting high school students. Soil science is applied chemistry, biology, and physics, and a great way to teach core concepts while getting your hands dirty!
In this one-day in-service, we’ll “dig in” to some of the core concepts discussed in this book
and show you some hands-on activities you can take back to your classroom. Participants
will take home the Know Soil, Know Life textbook, a kit of materials for activities, a $75 VISA
gift card for additional supplies, and more.
