A FREE Drinking Water Institute for Educators

Do your students wonder how all that clean, safe, economical water gets to their faucets? Your students need to know that drinking water is a valuable, limited, engineered resource. Expand your water curriculum to include drinking water topics. Join us for the 25th year of the award-winning WaterWorks Institute in Eden Prairie, MN.

Time: 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Location: Eden Prairie Water Treatment Plant

                 Eden Prairie, MN 55344
Eligibility: Science teachers from anywhere in Minnesota may apply.
 

Program Overview

Investigate drinking water quality, chemistry, community resources, and practice-based activities for your classroom. This intensive, three-day, hands-on workshop allows upper elementary, middle, and high school science teachers to enrich their water-related benchmarks and come away with new teaching ideas and information from expert presenters on the engineering, chemistry, geology, people, and politics of how drinking water is delivered to your home and school.

ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE:

  • 3 days of breakfast and lunch
  • Digital water curriculum and resources
  • The choice of two free graduate-level credits or a stipend (both require your attendance at a Saturday follow-up session in fall. Housing is not provided.


Join the more than 450 science teachers who have participated in WaterWorks over the last 24 years, and make plans to integrate the topic of drinking water into your science curriculum!
