Calling all K-12 Science Teachers!
Dig into Soils and receive 8 hours of Continuing Education at our fun and free Educator’s In-Service Day at the University of Minnesota, Plant Growth Facilities, 1538 Gorner Ave, St. Paul.
Join soil scientists on Tuesday, August 5 (8:30 am - 3:00 pm) as we explore core concepts in soil science and show you some hands-on activities to take back to your classroom, including:
- Soil Basics (and soil sampling)
- Soil Chemistry – soils and pH, cation exchange
- Soil Biology – critters in soil, soil health
- Soils and Climate Change – carbon cycling, web soil survey
As a participant, you’ll receive a valuable Soil Science bucket of supplies, books, and a $75 Visa gift card to purchase additional supplies for your classroom. And, lunch is on us as well.
