Summer opportunity for Physics and Physical Science teachers to be offered at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, June 23-27, 2025. (www.uwrf.edu/PHYS/Summer.cfm)
Waves Throughout Physics:
This one-week in-person class/workshop will cover content relevant for high school physics instruction regarding wave motion. Participating teachers will use hands-on devices they can use with their own students. Traditional topics like mechanical waves will be complemented with related topics in acoustics, electromagnetism, optics, fluids, electronics, … based on the interests of the participants. Applications of Calculus in these areas can be covered as participant interest warrants. Connections to the Next Generation Science Standards will be made.
The class can be taken for 2 graduate credits or for continuing education.

DATE: Monday through Friday, June 23-27, 2025
TIME: 9 AM - 4 PM
LOCATION: UWRF, Centennial Science Hall Room 114
COST: For 2 graduate credits: WI resident: $1,145.26, MN resident: $1,591.88.
For continuing education: $490.00, payable by check.
