The Minnesota State Engineering Center of Excellence has partnered with We Share Solar to develop an engineering unit for its solar electricity curriculum for 7th-10th grade. On August 11-12, we will offer a two-day teacher training for the We Share Solar kits and the engineering unit at Minnesota State University, Mankato. The equipment fee is $400/school for up to two teachers, and teachers will receive a $200 stipend for participating. Sixteen Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available from the Minnesota State Engineering Center of Excellence.
Due to a grant, the equipment fee can be waived if needed. Just contact Anna Gomberg<anna@wecaresolar.org> about your request.
So, you can have equipment for your classroom and get paid to learn how to implement the curriculum, along with the learning CEUs.
