The temperatures are warming up this week and, with that, we’re thinking about spring and taking your students outside!

Our topic for February is restoration ecology. Restoration ecology has the power to integrate biology, chemistry, policy, sustainability, and the Great Outdoors in the world and in your classroom. Join Karli Wittner, the City of Eden Prairie’s Natural Resources Supervisor, on Wednesday, February 11 to learn about the science of restoring ecosystems, starting small, and inspiring students to cultivate change in their own backyards! Karli has years of on-the-ground restoration experience and was an informal educator for a few years as well. Even if you have never taken your classes outdoors, Karli will equip and encourage you with practical knowledge and tips.
