Join us for a webinar on the recently released book, Seeing Students Learn Science. This publication can help teachers improve their understanding of new approaches to science education and adapt their instruction and assessment accordingly. It includes examples of innovative assessment formats, ways to embed assessments in engaging classroom activities, and ideas for interpreting and using novel kinds of assessment information. Speakers Heidi Schweingruber and Peter McLaren will discuss classroom assessment in science and how the book can help drive professional learning.
Heidi Schweingruber is a co-author of this book and the director of the Board on Science Education at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine.
Peter McLaren is the director and founder of Next Gen Education, LLC and was a member of the authoring committee for Developing Assessments for the Next Generation Science Standards, the report that laid the foundation for this book.
