I wanted to reach out and let you know that after more than 24 years, Maija Sedzielarz has retired from the Science Museum (as of July 28, 2017).
If you didn’t have the pleasure of working with Maija in her position at the Museum, see below (from a Science Museum colleague) for a description of the many ways she shaped their work:
Maija has been instrumental in developing resources for our field trip audiences including marketing materials, “Explorations Guides” and the Standards Matrix for use by educators. She had been a key resource for the Engineering is Elementary project from its inception as a pilot program to a multiple-district curriculum integration project funded by the Cargill Foundation. Maija has been a resource for many of us here at the museum and for the museum community both locally and nationally. We will all miss her experience, insight, positive demeanor, and friendship.
She has indicated that she is available for contract work and science happy hours going forward. Let me know if you’d like her contact information to wish her well...
