Do your science students participate in a school science fair?
If so, my team and I from the University of Minnesota would be interested in talking with you about the science fair. We are working on an NSF funded project (DR K-12) where we are trying to understand the learning in science that takes place as students prepare and then present independent science projects. There is little research that documents the value of these projects in terms of student learning, both in the practices of science and disciplinary content knowledge. To that end, we might be able to help you interview or serve as judges for a random group of projects at your school science fair.
