2018 Astronomical League Conference

Where: Hilton Hotel and Convention Center, 3800 American Blvd E, Bloomington, Minnesota, 55425

When: July 11th-14th, 2018

What:

We have a number of interesting speakers lined up and we'll be offering field-trips to places like the newly constructed Bell Museum Planetarium and the John T. Tate Hall at the University of Minnesota, featuring its 10.5” Warner & Swasey Telescope built in 1896.

In addition, each evening we will be having a field trip to Eagle Lake Observatory in Baylor Regional Park to provide viewing through state of the art telescopes, including an 8” TMB refractor. This park will also be the location of our Friday night Star-B-Q with live music on Friday night followed by viewing through our telescopes.
