Hamline University is offering three free summer institutes for teachers of science. The Rivers Institute is designed to promote environmental and ecological concepts in the science classroom and will be offered in both June and July. Over three days, teachers explore the Mississippi or St. Croix River and investigate water ecosystems and river engineering. The three-day WaterWorks Institute allows teachers to enrich their water-related curricula by learning from experts on how safe drinking water is produced and experiencing a host of water resources and activities for the classroom.
