Participate in a Study of Three-Dimensional Assessments that Measures Student's Understanding of Energy

AAAS Project 2061 is developing assessment tasks that measure students' ability to use the three dimensions outlined by the Next Generation Science Standards - science and engineering practices, crosscutting concepts, and disciplinary core ideas - to make sense of energy-related phenomena. We are recruiting elementary, middle, and high school science teachers and college/university professors willing to test our assessment tasks with their students. The test will be administered online and should take one class period to complete.

The guidelines for participation are as follows:

  • You must be a science teacher or professor in the US.
  • Your students must be in 4th - 12th grade or be undergraduates.
  • You must reserve enough computers with a reliable internet connection for all students in your classes on the day of testing (1 per student).
  • Registration deadline is April 18, 2018.
