- Minnesota Earth Science Teachers Virtual Meeting

March 25, 2020

Hello wonderful Minnesota Science Teachers.

I hope you are well.

Minnesota Earth Science Teachers Association (MESTA) and Minnesota Science Teachers Association (MnSTA) have been charged by Mn Education Commissioner Ricker with coming up with non-tech based lessons for science, that are building on the strengths of our families and students. As Minnesota plans for Equitable Distance Learning Plans, we are hoping that we can publish these lesson plans to our website and to our email lists, for all teachers to access and use.

We are planning some "connecting" webinars, run through Google Meet and people can phone in or computer in.

Goals: connect people, come together, and make teams for developing lessons for equitable distance learning.

This

Wednesday 3/25 at 10 am, or Join by phone ‪+1 916-750-5837 PIN: ‪644 364 694#

Please consider for our discussion:

1-One thing you need more of/one thing you don't need more of

2-What is most important for you to work on this coming week?

3-Where are you finding opportunity in this challenge?

We'll have people unmute their microphones in groups of 3-5, and talk for a few minutes in their group (fishbowl style) and then switch to the next group.

I hope you can join us in working together for science in Minnesota! Please share with your networks in Minnesota. We are looking forward to virtually meeting you,

Sincerely,

Kate and Haley
