Midwest Environmental Education Conference

The theme “Access Nature: Promoting Inclusion and Diversity in Environmental Education” will explore barriers that prevent educators and learners from accessing natural areas and having valuable learning experiences in the outdoors.

Full conference registration includes:

  • Thursday, October 3: Two field trips with lunch included
    • AM: Nature-focused Early Childhood Program Visits
    • PM: Tours of Gibbs Farm and the new Bell Museum
  • Friday, October 4: Three hour workshops and an evening event featuring musician and disability advocate Gaelynn Lea. After dinner, enjoy nature-themed trivia with local comedian and writer Lauren Chesnut! Lunch and dinner are included.
  • Saturday, October 5: Shorter breakout sessions on a wide variety of topics and keynote speaker, educator, and community builder Asha Shoffner. Lunch is included
