STEP UP: Addressing the Physics Gender Gap in High School Physics

STEP UP, an initiative through the American Physical Society (APS), aims to close the physics gender gap by mobilizing high school physics teachers across the country to address the gender gap in their communities, schools, and classrooms.

STEP UP provides three physics lessons: Careers in Physics, Women in Physics, and Everyday Actions to provide teachers with the tools to begin these conversations and incorporate these topics within their classroom.

This workshop will provide the lesson materials, outline the lesson contents, and demonstrate their use within the classroom.
