About the workshop:
The River Starts Here Workshop is a first annual collaborative workshop that provides educators with the resources and tools to use water as a context for learning in the classroom, while addressing Minnesota academic standards in science, social studies, and language arts.
Dive into hands-on exploration and learn how you can incorporate study of Southeast Minnesotan waters into your educational practices!

Participants will receive:
• Instruction and hands-on participation in water-based education activities, indoors and in the field
• Sample lessons from MinnAqua, Project WET, Project Learning Tree, Project WILD, and River of Dreams curricula
• Introduction to ESRI Story Mapping and WHAF online technologies
• Tour of the Whitewater Watershed
• Catered lunch from local farms and Q&A with farmers
• Annual Minnesota State Parks Vehicle Permit valid through June, 2019 ($35 value)
• 16 CEUs

Registration: $35, cash or check only, includes lunch, snacks, and materials
Limit: 50 participants
