\n\nHow is the Mississippi River? How can
I teach about the health of the river?\n\nAttend a FREE workshop for
educators to find out. \n\nThe State of the River Report is an award-
winning publication that synthesizes scientific data to 17 indicators of
the health of the river. Authors of the Report and corresponding Tea
cher’s Guide will provide compelling content and present ways thatÂ
you can easily utilize this information in the classroom.\n\nThe Teacher
's Guide to the State of the River Report provides hands on learning exp
eriences for grades 3-12. Lessons were designed using Minnesota State Sc
ience Standards. Students will engage in relevant lessons based on the c
ontent in the State of the River Report. Scientific data from agencies s
uch as the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and Minnesota Department o
f Natural Resources has been translated into user friendly curriculum!\n
\nThe workshop is hosted by Friends of the Mississippi River and the Na
tional Park Service's Mississippi National River and Recreation Area N
ational Park Service in partnership with the Center for Global Environ

f $179. For the credit, educators will spend 8-10 hours creating and i
mplementing an action plan to use the State of the River Report Teacher
’s Guide in their classroom. Enrollment is limited to 15.  \n\nPle
ase register online by Thursday, April 27th and indicate if you are int
