Celebrated on or around October 9th (for 10-9), National Nanotechnology Day is an annual celebration to help raise awareness of nanotechnology. You can visit www.nano.gov/nationalnanotechnologyday to learn more about the event. Under “Related Resources” you’ll find information on activities from previous years. This is a good resource if you are interested in planning an event for your students. For example, the 100 Billion Nanometer Dash has been popular with teachers, it gets students outside exercising and learning about scale. If you plan anything, make sure to contact NND@nnco.nano.gov so they can help promote your activity.
