Conference Program   MnCOSE Schedule Speakers

We're excited to welcome you to MnCOSE23!  Please reserve Friday November 10th and Saturday morning Nov 11th to learn and grow together with science educators from across MN.

We are planning presentation sessions, keynotes, exhibits and social events for the day on Friday Nov 10th, and focused sessions and likely tours on Saturday Nov 11th until noon.

We are all eager to learn about new resources as we plan and implement our new Minnesota Science Standards (full implementation by 2024-25)!  MnCOSE is the place to be for the latest updates, strategies, and networking!

A new feature of the MnCOSE 23 is a workshop within the conference. You will have the option to participate in a three-hour morning "Practice the Practices" workshop on teaching with the Science and Engineering Practices or attend other concurrent sessions. If you choose the Practices workshop, you will participate with other teachers of your grade band in exploring a local phenomenon and making sense of it using the practices.

Additional concurrent sessions will be offered in the afternoon for all attendees. The keynote presentation will be mid-morning and connect to the phenomenon of the Practices workshop. There will be an extended lunch period for networking with your colleagues and exhibitors.

The mid-morning conference keynote will serve as a resource for the workshop. You will have the choice to select this workshop when you register or opt for our typical concurrent sessions.

Our lead workshop presenters will be Lee Schmitt, Mary Colson, and Dana Smith!

The Kahler Grand Hotel is our official event hotel for MnCOSE23.  We encourage you to stay there and experience downtown Rochester!

We are intentionally embedding grade level identification of sessions across all strands, so that educators of pre-K, elementary, middle, high, and 12+ students can identify sessions most helpful to them across the conference.

MnSTA membership is required to register for MnCOSE23.
