The Foundation for Clean Water, a NY State charity organization*, would like to bring awareness about water pollution, thus invites high school, middle school and home-school students in the USA to submit (via email & attachment) any form of presentation - essay, video, comic, dialog, song, poem, play, art etc. - alerting and discussing the topic of water pollution.

The purpose of the competition is to increase awareness and knowledge of water pollution and its abatement. The focus of the competition is hopefully on the water bodies in the Hudson River valley in NY, but submissions addressing other water bodies in the USA will be considered.

Awards: Panel of judges would determine number of awards, based on quality and number of entries

  1. Honor awards for qualified winners include a citation in media and open communication recording key praises from judges

  2. Material awards for qualified entry presenters include water quality testing instrument, justified by the presentation content

  3. Monetary awards include US$400 for the best submission, and US$300 for two next best submissions. (tentative award numbers, subject to the number of acceptable presentation entries received)

  4. An additional monetary gift of half the dollar amount for each winner would go to an "Environmental Club" (or similar school group; the charter must include water pollution subject) which the winner belongs or helps promote

Entries: Criteria: Panel of Judges will judge entries on significance of water pollution problems, originality, persuasiveness, and expression skill. Judges' decision is final. The submitter must agree that the Foundation for Clean Water owns the entry, and has the right to display, or publish, with discretionary attribution.

Entry submission: email to foundationforcleanwater@yahoo.com

Each entry should include submitter's name, age and school grade, name and address of the school, name with email of the teacher in relevant subject and/or environmental club faculty adviser, if any, the title of the submission, and an abstract (summary).
