32nd Annual Malmstrom Lecture in Physics: How to Build a Quantum Computer

Hamline University is pleased to announce that John Martinis, professor of physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, will be this year’s Malmstrom guest lecturer. On October 26, Martinis, a Fritz London Memorial Prize in Low Temperature Physics and John Stewart Bell Prize winner, will share the concepts behind quantum mechanics and how it can be used together with superconductors to build a quantum computer.

 

Martinis’ lecture is sure to be an engaging, entertaining, and educational event. We hope to see you there.
