You are invited to participate in free University of Minnesota College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences ecology-focused professional development workshops offered in partnership with Minnesota Environment Natural Resource Trust Fund and U.S. Forest Service - International Programs. - Migratory & Urban Bird Institute (MUBI): https://z.umn.edu/MUBI
- Professional development for grades K-12 teachers and environmental educators
- 3-day workshop offered August 7-9, 2024
- Held at St. Paul-area parks and nature centers (different location each day)
- Free room & board for a limited number of educators living 50+ miles from UMN St. Paul campus
- Free UMN graduate credit offered
- Utilizes Driven to Discover: Birds and eBird curriculum
- Phenology Investigations in Minnesota Schools (PIMS): https://z.umn.edu/PIMS
- Pending final funding approval by MN Legislature in May 2024
- Professional development for grades 6-12 MN science & agriculture teachers
- Cohort 1 begins July 2024, with one 2-day (weekend) workshop each season of the year (summer, fall, winter, spring, with a virtual wrap-up meeting in June)
- Cohort 1 = July 2024-June 2025 at Long Lake Conservation Center
- Cohort 2 = June 2025-June 2026 at Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center
- Cohort 3 = July 2026-June 2027 at Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center
- Free room & board offered for all participants
- Free UMN graduate credit offered
- Utilizes Driven to Discover: Phenology and Nature's Notebook curriculum
