The Bell Museum is looking for classes to pilot a new ExploraDome program called Minnesota Water Stories. Classes chosen to pilot the program will be able to attend free of charge.
Are you a teacher of grades 5-8 in the Twin Cities, and would like to participate in a pilot for the Bell Museum ExploraDome program Minnesota Water Stories? The pilot program includes:
- One free school-day ExploraDome visit in April 2018 including 6 sessions
- At least three (3) classes of grades 5, 6, 7,or 8 will be the pilot groups to receive the 45 minute Minnesota Water Stories presentation. They may be all of one grade, or of multiple grades.
- You may schedule up to three (3) more 45 minute programs for any grade, selecting Minnesota Water Stories or any of our ExploraDome programs.
- Host an event for families, school staff, and/or community members after school to see Minnesota Water Stories, with two showings of 50 people total (25 each)
- Participate in evaluation of the program, which includes:
- Written survey from all students and public event attendees who saw the program
- Focus group of 5-8 adults who saw the after school program
Schools will be selected based on
- Order of response: first-come, first considered
- Location: must be in the Twin Cities Metropolitan area, within 40 miles of the Bell Museum (address below)
- Agreement to the conditions above
- Availability during the Bell Museum’s proposed dates within April. This calendar lists the available dates; check it often as we may schedule regular ExploraDome visits at other schools. We will work together to determine the best date. https://z.umn.edu/exploradomecalendar
