A new report from the National Academies of Sciences Engineering and Medicine—Call to Action for Science Education: Building Opportunity for the Future—articulates priorities and makes recommendations to state and national level policy makers on how they can elevate science education opportunities so that they are equitable and high quality. It builds on decades of research and dozens of previous reports that have examined the evidence on learning and teaching in K-12 schools and postsecondary institutions.
