Climate Generation is launching the TeachScience project and you’re invited! Join us this summer at our free workshops supporting the new Minnesota state science standards!
The TeachScience project is a two-year long opportunity for middle school science teachers to receive hands-on training and ongoing support about energy, the environment, and climate change.
As schools and cities add renewable energy to their climate action plans, the need to prepare students for careers in the renewable energy sector grows. The new Minnesota state science standards offer a unique pathway to practice the crosscutting concepts that span STEM and climate change literacy. By integrating renewable energy education and green jobs skills into your classrooms, you can also connect students to career pathways and help them envision a new future.
This upcoming 2023 summer we will offer free hands-on workshops in three regions of Minnesota centered around supporting schools to become living laboratories — places that bring STEM practices together using the school environment and infrastructure. These workshops will support educators and spark community connections beyond the classroom to engage learners in climate change, energy and green career education.
