Greetings MnSTA Members!
We are pleased to announce an upcoming professional development series intended for 8th grade teachers transitioning to physical science. Each session will take place for three hours on a Saturday morning, beginning February 11th at 9:00 AM.
Participants will walk through how a physical science unit might be structured using OpenSciEd as a model. A list of easy to access materials will be provided prior to each meeting, with a section of each event dedicated to a hands-on investigation.
Teams are encouraged to engage in these events with other MnSTA members in a common space like a classroom to participate in this training with others. Have colleagues that aren't MnSTA members? Encourage them to join for $25 and they get the benefit of attending all future sessions for free. Non-MnSTA member fee is $30 per session.
