From the Council of State Science Supervisors:

The CSSS Supporting Elementary Science Ad-Hoc Committee is collecting examples of elementary (K-5) instructional scheduling examples at the classroom, school, district, and state level (if applicable).

The goal of this schedule collection is to understand how teachers, schools, districts, and states are finding successful ways to organize instructional minutes so that elementary students are provided with the learning time they need for a quality science education.

The information collected in this survey will be used to develop a CSSS guiding resource illustrating scheduling examples and strategies that are working in practice across the US in a variety of contexts.

We are requesting Cuber help in disseminating this survey link ( https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/7106582/Supporting-Elementary-Science-Scheduling-Examples ) to collect the information.

We are hoping to gather a wide variety of examples so educators and instructional leaders in different contexts see relevance for themselves in the examples.  We would also love to connect to any state guidance that has already been developed for this area.

Thank you for your help with this project which we believe will be a useful resource to support and advocate for access to elementary science.

Sincerely,

The CSSS Supporting Elementary Science Committee Co-Chairs:  Kathy Renfrew, Carla Zembal-Saul, Kimberley Astle, and Amber McCulloch
