ESTEP for High School Teachers

Are you a high school science teacher looking to increase your content knowledge and teaching strategies so you can teach Earth Science?  Thinking about taking the Earth and Space Science content exam to add a 9-12 ESS license? ESTEP is for you!  ESTEP summer bootcamps are fast paced, one week, bootcamp style, regional workshops that focus on a specific set of earth and space science benchmarks AND the teaching strategies you will need as you make the shift to science sense-making with your students.  

  • Deepen your understanding of earth science concepts through investigations! 
  • Utilize 3-dimensional strategies by DOING the science! 
  • Begin building confidence in your unit and lesson planning!
  • Collaborate and discuss how phenomena and storylines relate to particular investigations
 
2023 Summer Boot Camps for high school teachers

June 26 - 30 at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, Cloquet (Physical Geology/Earth Systems)

Participant registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is considered complete when REGISTRATION FORM is completed, and non-refundable registration fee is received by MnSTA. Completed participant registration will be confirmed via email. The non-refundable registration fee is $150.00 and does not include lodging, meals or transportation. Participants can choose a stipend of $300 OR 3 graduate credits (requires assignment completion in addition to attending boot camp) upon completion of the boot camp. The stipend OR graduate credit is paid for through a generous grant from the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund.
