Hello Minnesota physicists and physics lovers!

 

It has been a while since we got together, but we are finally going to have an in person MN AAPT section meeting.  Here are the key details:

 

What: MN AAPT section meeting 2023.  This will include an open call for physics education related talks (more coming next week, but if you have some great short talks related to physics education think about submitting), food, possibly posters, and time to get together in person with other local people excited about physics and education

 

Who: Anyone with an interest in physics education living/working in or near Minnesota.  This is also a joint meeting with GO4ST8Physics and we will be making an effort to have content relevant to a wide range of physics teaching.  Please invite anyone interested in physics teaching K-12, higher ed or related areas to come.  You don't need to be a member of national AAPT to come and you can join MN AAPT at the meeting for the low price of $10

 

Where: Augsburg University Hagfors Center + online option including hopefully pods located in outstate Minnesota (more on this coming soon!).  Thank you to Ben Stottrup and Augsburg for agreeing to host!

 

When: 8ish-12ish + optional lunch and business meeting Sat April 22nd.  Exact time to be set shortly.
