Teaching Earth and Space Science with PhET Interactive Simulations

April 20, 2023

3 p.m. CT

Webinar description - PhET Interactive Simulations project at the University of Colorado Boulder creates free interactive simulations and virtual labs for science and math learning. PhET simulations are teaching tools that can support conceptual learning and skill development, but they are most effective when used in a teaching context that makes use of evidence-based, student-centered teaching and learning practices. During this webinar, participants will get a brief introduction to PhET simulations by engaging in open play with a simulation, exploring the website, coming up with simple sequences of how simulations can be linked to teach core concepts, and learning more about how to go deeper with PhET pedagogies.
