Job Description / Duties

Position Title: Science Teacher
Primary Location: Winona Senior High School
Assignment Specifications: 1.0fte; 184 days/year; 2023-24 School Year
Group Affiliation/Policy: Teachers
Classification: C-5-1
Exempt Status: Exempt

Responsibilities: The licensed teacher is responsible for delivering and instructing students in instructional material; evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives; monitoring and evaluating student behavior; completing due process paperwork; participating in individual education plan meetings with colleagues and parents; participating and collaborating with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, counselors, and other district personnel concerning student needs, issues and district learning initiatives, curriculum, and building issues. 

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold a 7-12 Physical, Life or Chemistry License, or any combination thereof,  issued by the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board. Preference may be given to candidates who have multiple science related licenses or an Earth Science License.
