Job Description / Duties

Presentation of Mary in Maplewood, Minnesota is now accepting resumes for consideration for the position of Full-Time Science teacher (This position could be split into two part-time positions.) for the 2023-24 school year.
We are supported by a close community of families committed to academic excellence, character development, and spiritual formation. We are seeking a qualified candidate to teach Science and innovation (STEM/Engineering/Project-based) for middle school. We pride ourselves on integrating our faith into the entirety of the year and programming.

Additional duties may include but are not limited to hallway duty, recess/playground &/or lunchroom supervision, dismissal, and homeroom advisory. Salary will be determined based on experience.

Qualifications / Required Skills

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, flexible, experienced in teaching middle school students in a classroom, possesses good class management, and has the ability to collaborate with other staff members. The candidate will: 1) Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in education, or science. A teaching license is required. 2) Be an enthusiastic and creative teacher with experience teaching science and project-based related activities. 3) Be a faith-filled person committed to joyfully witnessing faith to young people. 4) Be able to team with other faculty members in order to ensure that the overall school mission is being met in each department area. 5) Have excellent speaking and writing skills and have the same high expectations of students.
