M-ASCEND High School Teachers Cancer Curriculum Summer Program

The goal of this program is to support MN public high school teachers in the development of curriculum components about cancer biology, local health disparities, and STEM careers.

M-ASCEND High School Teachers Cancer Curriculum Summer Program 
 
The goal of this program is to support MN public high school teachers in the development of curriculum components about cancer biology, local health disparities, and STEM careers. 
  • Spend two weeks on the UMN East Bank campus (June 24 - 28 and July 8-12--participants must be able to attend both weeks) learning from researchers at the Masonic Cancer Center and Program for Health Disparities Research, touring facilities, shadowing researchers, gaining teaching resources, and trying out lab investigations for your students. 
  • Participants receive a $3000 stipend (half at the start, half upon completion of the work).
