MnSTA Meet n' Greet
Date: April 24th from 6-8 PM
Location: The Oak Savannah Learning Center
The Why: To spend time together as awesome science teachers and learn about the importance of experiential education through field experiences and integrative science learning.
The What:
~ We'll start with a little roundtable about experiential learning. We will share how using public land like the refuge is a great place to bring students to learn science (for free! minus the bus costs - which we can dive in a little to how to help teachers with this). We might open up a virtual link for folks to join in from out-state for this portion - this survey will also gauge that interest.
~ Weather dependent (if it's sprinkling - we'll still go outside! - so be dressed appropriately) hike time and activities.
You can bring food/snacks and beverages since I know this is during the dinner hour. If you want to eat afterwards - we can discuss some area restaurants.
Be curious. Have fun. Enjoy nature.
